Rabies

There is rabies in Bulgaria, although reported
incidents tend to be in rural areas.
The number of cases reported in Sofia is
minimal, but it is still advisable to seek medical assistance should you be bitten by a dog. You will have to undergo a 15-day course of anti-rabies injections if you cannot prove that the dog has been immunised.
