Luxury 5-star hotel with a fascinating history, During construction works it was discovered that the Roman amphitheatre of Serdica, as Sofia was known in Roman times, lay underneath. Rather than filling it in with concrete, the owners clevery incorporated the remains into the basement floor of the hotel and now the whole entrance and reception area is a momument to the city's history.
