Dublin is a city that produces writers, revolutionaries and Guinness in roughly equal measure, and is proud of all three. The Georgian squares, the atmospheric pubs, the Book of Kells and the weight of recent history make for a compelling combination. It's also considerably more affordable than it was, although still much too dear for our wallet.
