Tilburg has its own Walk of Fame. This was created in 2009 to honour the bicentennial of Tilburg's gaining the right to become a city. On the Alexanderstraat you can find tiles with signatures of famous and not-so-famous Tilburgers. Singer Guus Meeuwis, Pater Poels, writer Kluun, break dancer Menno van Gorp and many volunteers that are important to Tilburg have all been given their own tile. Don’t expect any Hollywood stars or throngs of fans though as most Tilburgers don’t even know where the Walk of Fame is located or whose honoured there.
