A step behind the Scandinavians

A step behind the Scandinavians
The Scandinavian countries of Finland, Sweden and Denmark top the list of the 'Happiest Consumers' in Europe, while the Netherlands was ranked just below them in fourth place. Another list compiled by the American magazine Newsweek, claims that the Netherlands is in the Top 10 best countries in which to live. The criteria used by the researchers included the quality of education and healthcare as well as the economic and political situation of the countries involved. The Netherlands secured a respectable eighth place on this list, which was again topped by Finland. This, however. doesn't seem to jive with the fact that this northern utopia also claims the dubious distinction of having the most registered alcoholics and suicides. This will no doubt inspire yet another poll and more pointless research, but we'll keep you informed.
