The Price of Complaining

The Price of Complaining
The Dutch love to complain, especially about money and the weather. Despite of the fact that many daily products like bread, milk, cheese, eggs and beer are 10% cheaper than in neighbouring countries, they love to gripe about the cost of a trip to the supermarket. Meat and cigarettes, however, are much more expensive in Holland. The cheapest countries in Europe are Bulgaria, Romania and Poland, where most shop prices are 40% below the Dutch level. Denmark, on the other hand, is the most expensive EU country. Daily shopping costs are nearly 40% higher than those in the Netherlands.
