Even if you don't like bread, you should still take a look at the finest bakery the city has ever produced. In fact, it's such a part of local life that if it were ever to go bankrupt, this tiny business would instantly be taken over by the district council. Two of the walls have been decorated with beautiful, colourful glazed tiles and time seems to have stopped in this ridiculously popular establishment, where even the bread is given medieval names. Our favourites? Knight in the Night, Little Hinthamer and the Franciscan. This is also one of the best places in the city to sample some local delicacies filled with honey and almond paste, such as Bossche Koekwaus and Bossche Koek. Please note there's no seating available, only takeaway.
