This gem of a teahouse in the forest on Zurich’s own little mountain Uetliberg is well hidden and even locals sometimes fail to find it the first time - but don’t worry, Zurich In Your Pocket will tell you how to get there in 20 minutes walk. From the final station of the train to Uetliberg (S 10 from main station), walk back in the direction the train came from and take the path towards Ringlikon (sign). Soon after the path crosses the railway tracks, a steep trail leads to the left into the woods (and is marked with a signpost ‘Teehaus’). After a few minutes on the wild path you reach the lovely old house, where from Fri to Sun drinks and food (try the platter with dried meat and cheese!) await you, including awesome views towards the mountains. Bring good shoes and stay on the path, especially if you plan go back along the other unmarked, almost Alpine path, following Coiffeurweg and approaching Uetliberg peak from the other side.
