This
türbe, or tomb, dates from 1817. It honours Kaplan Pasha, who ruled Tirana in the early 19th century. It consists of eight classical columns linked by arches. Left derelict, trash-strewn and half-sunk into the pavement and lit only by a blue neon lamp for many years, it is now to be renovated and graciously shielded by the concave wall of the high-rise building currently under construction next to it.
