The barman evidently learned customer relations from a Siberian camp guard, but if you manage to look past this small contribution to the overall feel-good spirit of Minsk nightlife, Korchma can be a pleasant place to sip a brew or two. The restored house on the edge of the Old Town is a cosy enough venue. Korchma really comes into its own though in spring and summer when visitors flock here to sit out by the riverbank and enjoy the magnificent view.
