Natvris He (Натврис Хе)

Translating as The Wishing Tree and named after a classic Soviet-era film of the same name, Natvris-Heh is the sort of Georgian restaurant every town should have. Run entirely by Georgians and producing a marvellous selection of classic dishes such as shashlyk, satsivi, khachapuri and khinkali, this small house located in the far flung suburbs of the city is more than worth the taxi fare. Few would disagree that Georgian food ranks among some of the best food in the world, and this place certainly knows how to cook it. Wash it all down with copious amounts of Georgian wine, including a bottle of fabulous red Saperavi.
