Despite its predominantly post-war character, Minsk is a fabulous city to explore. One of the world’s masterpieces of Socialist-Realist urban planning, the city also throws aficionados of antiquity a handful of titbits such as a scattering of marvellous old churches.

I think this was one of the most educational but fun museums that i visited whilst in Minsk. As i was visiting friends in Minsk, the showed me how proud they were of their country, this museum is truly something in which belarussians are proud of....National Library

One of the most impressive places in Minsk. The Government Building in the southwest corner of the square, built in the early thirties of the 20th century, is a modernist monument of the first grade and hosts the world's oldest statue of Lenin neasr it's entrance (1933!)....Victory Square
A beautifully decorated obelisk and impressive landmark in the north of the city-centre! Don't forget to visit this corner of the city....Stalin's Line (Линия Сталина)
Wow, truly a not-to-be-missed lunapark for an intriguing part of Sovjet-history! This almost forgotten part of Sovjet defence under Stalin, from the Baltic to the Black Sea is recently reconstructed and opened in 2005 by the president....Great Patriotic War Museum
This museum is a must for anyone who wants to understand Eastern Europe in the aftermath of the 2nd World War....
