Where to Eat

Titanic Belfast

Mr. JDs New Titanic Restaurant

This honest-to-goodness chippy, near East Belfast's shipyard and Titanic mural, has embraced the maritime theme with old photos, newspaper cuttings, Titanic models and other memorabilia. Maritime souvenirs including prints, t-shirts and postcards are also available to buy with profits going to the Nomadic Preservation Society. Food-wise, opt for the 2-for-1 pastie lunch deal or go BIG with the Titanic Special 16oz cod with chips and peas. Segafredo coffee and Mr. Smoothie ice creams round off the grub. Seating for 60, a gluten free range and five-star ratings confirm its status and popularity amongst those in the know.

Great staff, really helpful and friendly. Gave me, a coeliac, a gluten free meal of fish and chips with a free pasty thrown in. It was absolutely wonderful and I ran out of steam, struggling to finish it all. Lots of other gluten free food available, all cooked in a separate dedicated fryer. Brilliant!
