Holiday Inn

Holiday Inn
Oh dear. The iconic wartime days of Sarajevo’s famous Holiday Inn, bullet-riddled and holding out to the last, filled with war-correspondents and gritty hotel staff existing on the edge, are sadly long gone. Apart from nice mushrooms at breakfast, some charming staff and faded memories, this overpriced, uncomfortable and architecturally hideous hotel has few redeeming features anymore.

220 rooms (singles €100, doubles €150).

This hotel is definitely in need of some refurbishment in order to keep up with the many new hotels springing up all over town. The public areas look particularly grim and '80s.Also, if you are planning a visit to Sarajevo, you should know that the Holiday Inn is pretty much on the outer edge of the Sarajevo you are interested in visiting. There is not much (if anything) between this hotel and the airport.

I feel I need to make a good comment about this hotel. I have stayed many times and have always found it to be friendly and comfortable..It is a bit expensive compared to others but i would stay time and time again!
