Arriving by car

A motorway and several main roads connect Banja Luka to other towns and bordering countries.

Currently, the new motorway that will connect Banja Luka with Zagreb is still being constructed and will open in the second half of 2009.  The main roads, however, are fairly decent if you are coming from Croatia.  The road less travelled towards Sarajevo, Serbia and the Croatian coast are narrow and winding, but you do pass a variety of beautiful landscapes and villages.
