In general, the buses are the better connected of the two forms of transport, with daily routes to Zagreb and Sarajevo and an hourly service to Belgrade. Within the city the stock consists largely of rickety vehicles from the 1980s but newer models are beginning to appear, making journeys in and out of town that little bit more pleasant. Tickets - bought from the plentiful kiosks dotted around the city - cost 1.60 KM for one journey.
