The Film Institute created the first International Film Festival in Banja Luka in May 2008.  The festival hosts international and local feature films, documentaries, children and student films alongside workshops and lectures from film and television professionals.  Each year, the organisation bring a variety of Hollywood film stars, so you don't need to blink twice if Johnny Depp walks past you on the street.
