Germany intro
With the toppling of the divisive Wall to the musical accompaniment of David Hasselhoff, Germany has emerged from the 20th century as a new country.
The new Germany has huge economical problems and was the first to rattle the restrictive bars of the common EU currency, the euro. But walk the streets of Frankfurt and you'll only see gleaming new cars. In Munich you look out of place if you're not wearing the newest designer suit, and in Berlin, well, you have to look shabby in that chic kind of way.
In Your Pocket covers fourteen of Germany's most visited cities. To help you plan and enjoy your trip, all the information from our
print guides (including hotel, restaurant, nightlife and sight reviews) is accessible free on this site.
In Your Pocket guides are sold locally at tourist offices, and distributed in selected hotels. Ask for In Your Pocket.
