Fishing in Karlovac

Attention all passionate and would-be fishermen!!  The fish are biting and waiting for some action!  This town really has something special to offer to anyone who loves fishing. With four rivers, fish ponds and tributaries galore, there is enough action here for everyone.  Bring your gear down to Karlovac, or buy it here, as you won’t be disappointed. Fish on the four rivers – the Mrežnica, Dobra, Kupa and Korana, where you can find – catfish, pike, perch, white fish, trout, tench and carp. Apart from the obvious choice of the four rivers, fishing is welcome in the area of Radonja, Trebinja, Utinja, Blatnice, Slunjčica and Kupčina.  Fishing licences are state run and daily licences cost a mere 60kn, and can be bought at 12 agencies in the Karlovac region.
