Swimming in Karlovac

There is a multitude of swimming spots to dip into here and let’s face it, Karlovac and its county is the ideal location for such a sport. If you can’t venture far from town, that’s fine, you can take a dip at Foginovo, the city beach. Besides swimming there, you can find diving platforms, beach volleyball, a boccie court and, for the devoted beach-goer, beach umbrellas, sun loungers, dressing booths, snack bars and cafes. Otherwise if you prefer a more secluded spot, take yourself down to Mrzlo Polje on the Mrežnica River or to Mostanje at the confluence of the Mrežnica and Korana Rivers. Also, there is a river beach on the Dobra River, in Zadobarje, at Grdun, by the Papalina restaurant.
