Located right next to the Dubovac cemetery, this modern sanctuary was built in 1968 to accommodate the pilgrims who make their way from all over Croatia to celebrate the town’s patron St Joseph. In 1969 a vestry was built and in 1970 a religious classroom. In 1987 it was declared a sanctuary by Croatian bishops. The academic sculptor Ante Starčević created the main statues of St Joseph and the Virgin Mary. The most important pilgrimage here takes place on 19 March, St Joseph’s Day.
