A sensation of solitude and serenity sweeps over you as you stand in the Baroque square, admiring the architecture of bygone years.  Surrounding the square are former palaces of noblemen, hoses of artisans and merchants, and the Holy Trinity church, all adapted to the urban plan of the star. On the square a votive column was erected in dedication to the Madonna to protect the city folk from further grief after the plague of 1691. In the centre of the square sits a well dating from 1869.
