This Baroque styled square of semi-circular shape lies in the north-western part of the star and dates back to the 18th century. The Baroque palace of the current city museum built earlier in the 17th century faces the square, other buildings include artisan’s houses, military palaces and the town hall, with the town’s government based here. An interesting structure sits in front of the city museum, the foundation remains from the 17th century of St Joseph’s chapel.
