Alas is local dialect for fisherman, and this friendly little restaurant on a residential street corner is the place to try local freshwater fish dishes. Speciality of the house is perkelt od soma (a deliciously spicy paprika casserole with huge chunks of scaly catfish floating around in it), usually served with home-made noodles smothered in cheesy sauce. Just in case you get carried away, bright orange bibs are provided to prevent you from dribbling it all down your chest.
