Certainly the prettiest church in Donji Grad, and quite possibly the whole of Osijek, St Mary’s was built in 1733 to cater for the mushrooming population of the Lower Town. The three-tiered bell tower, topped by a dome that looks like an exploding grey tulip, is a feast for the eyes. The peach-colored interior is enlivened by some spectacular Baroque statuary. Masses are  daily at 18:30 and on Sun at 07:00, 09:00, 11:00 and 18:30.
