The first exhibition dedicated to Fijolić in this part of Croatia will deal with his more recent works: sculptures and other works from private collections. Fijolić is inspired by the pop culture icons of his generations, taken from comic strips, films and mass media. Thus, his life-size magenta polyester sculpture of Bruce Lee which adorns a park in Mostar, Hercegovina is at once a commentary on the heroes of our youth and the inescapable presence of a cetain telecommunications giant in our adult lives. Expect a provocative display in more ways than one.
