A Pansion is typically somebody's family home - expect friendly service and breakfast to be included. The concrete exterior will not move you to do back flips or anything, but the awkwardly aged interior does provide a curious historical glimpse - we're talking 1960s and 70s here.
Well worth the modest price. We stayed there in October and were offered our fill of fruit from the owner's apple trees. The off-street parking was convenient. Since we were the only customers, we took a downstairs room and didn't have to share the bathroom with anyone. The breakfast was good, and the owner a charming older man who spoke French as well as German - no English, however.
