One of the most important family legacies in Croatian history is to be presented with over 700 different museum artefacts which testify to the role of the Jelačić family in a wider social and historical context. The commanding figure of ban Josip Jelačić is analysed as well as how he was criticised and later turned into a cult figure and a symbol of Croatian independence.
This is my mothers family and I am excited to hear more about my ancestry. My hope is to visit the museum in the near future.
