Sculpting is a labour of love for Šime Vulas who presents an astonishing 70 years of his opus to the wider public. This extraordinaire of carving, engraving and sanding will showcase over 150 of his precious works which include candles, sails, cities, rosettes, organs, portals, fortresses and boats reminiscing his coastal birthplace of Trogir. Dynamic and rhythmic in motion, these have been created in wood, marble, stone, bronze, aluminium, and other materials. A greater part of his range include the yet to be fully investigated sacral figures which include crosses, crucifixes and sacral drawings. Add to that his outdoor monuments placed in parks, squares and memorials, this exhibit truly exacerbates the richness of one man’s life calling.
