Velvet used to be a shabby-chic café, a great place to linger over a newspaper in the heart of town. It’s now reopened, and the artist-stroke-florist owner now sees that it’s stylish and chic, offering freshly-squeezed juices, pies, soups and biscuits to go with those headlines.

  Great place to relax with a glass of juice, freshly painted, modern, nice terrace, pity that it closes early. So quite and green and so near to the centre.
