A cute glass box attached to the northwestern side of the Esplanade hotel, Le Bistro has for years enjoyed a unique reputation as one of the best places in Zagreb for a classy business lunch. Repositioned with new flair by head chef Ana Grgić, it’s now more popular than ever. Long-time Bistro stalwarts like Wiener Schnitzel and local cult dish Štrukli (delicious doughy parcels stuffed with salty white cheese) are still on the menu, but there’s a lot of new, adventurous and seasonally-themed dishes to choose from; the risottos in particular come highly recommended.
