Perhaps more than any other cuisine featured in this guide, seafood of the Dalmatian coast requires a careful study and menu negotiation.
At times you will be surprised to find your waiter shaking his head no as you order a combination he believes simply will not do. After you re-attempt and again fail, he's likely to list
off a number of fresh items you've never tried before. By the end of the meal you will be thanking him for it. bijela riba (white fish), dagnje (mussels), lignje (squid), morska ribe (sea fish), salata od hobotnice (octopus salad), rakovi (crab), rižoto (risotto), školjke (shellfish, lobster, prawns), škampi (shrimp) .
