Tea Houses in Zagreb

Apart from Makronova, you can drink teas in most of the other vegetarian eateries (see the Restaurants section), and all Croatian cafes have a selection of fruit teas, for example: strawberry (jagoda), blueberry (borovnica), orange (naranča), apple and cinammon (jabuka i cimet).  You may also find traditional herbal brews such as mint (metvica) or camomile (kamilica).  Indian tea (indijski čaj) is a black tea, but much weaker than English tea, and will never turn more than depressing grey if you put milk in it.  Our advice is: get with the program, you’re in Europe now.  Ditch the milk.  Squeeze the lemon baby, and you’ve got yourself the most refreshing summer drink you can think of.  And what of winter, you ask?  Add a shot of rum, stupid.
