If you’re expecting cracked-leather chairs and a scratched coffee table covered in old magazines, the glass-tube entry across a rock garden might be a bit of a shock. Lobby is actually a café bar and restaurant, with a weekday lunch buffet for those in a hurry. There are dishes like steak with truffle sauce, but also a few offerings for vegetarians and for children. Just a warning – in the café, even though there’s a sandwich menu on each table, on weekends your ham sandwich may come wrapped in cellophane and lack one of its ingredients. Call ahead to park in the garage on site. Otherwise, try your luck with on-street parking or head for the garage at the Hotel International.
