The old saying says that football is a game played by gentlemen and watched by hooligans, whilst rugby is a game played by hooligans and watched by gentlemen. Or is it the other way around? We could never remember. Well this pizzeria, which also serves specialities such as lamb or octopus cooked ‘ispon peke’: a traditional Dalmatian methods which involves dustbin lids for want of an easier explanation, just goes to prove what we all know; the old buggers that come up with the old sayings don’t know what they are on about. Setting itself up as the unofficial historical HQ for Dinamo Zagreb F.C., which sits across the road, Gentlemen Pizzeria is both hosted and patronised by gents in love with the beautiful game.
