Viktor Kovačić, architect of the National Bank and  Church of St. Blaise (Crkva Sv. Blaža), designed this building in 1910. When it was completed in 1906 instead of payment he asked for a flat inside his creation. The request was granted and he lived here until his death in 1924. The uniqueness of the apartment lies in the various ingenious creations within. Kovačić designed his apartment with beauty and utility in mind.
