Authentic tourism

Like many of its neighbouring countries, Croatia is absolutely stuffed with fascinating landmarks, museums, architecture and the like. It differs however in the way that these things are presented: (A) no admission lines into churches or tourists flashing cameras on nuns during mass; (B) no horrendous lines into the museums, and smaller admission expense to get in; (C) less ex-pats ruining your dinner with their excessively loud discussion about how they are on the verge of conquering the nation with their impressive business philosophies; (D) less camera-toters on the main square. The list could go on and on, though in short Zagreb has not been turned into the tourism amusement park that its closest neighbours - Prague, Budapest and Venice for instance - have become. You get to see life as it is here, quite a unique characteristic today.
