You'll be happy to see that nature has been given a wealth of space in this capitol city - they make for some of the best destinations in all of town. The numerous city parks - Maksimir, Ribnjak, Zvonimirova, Trg kralja Tomislava and Botanički vrt but to name a few  - have been brilliantly encouraged to beautify and sing their song of peace and harmony to all critters. The Medvedgrad mountain region just north of town is an exceptional expanse to take a break from this city life, and it's only fifteen minutes from the centre by tram. Jarun lake in the southwestern suburbs is a great recreation area too, encouraging locals to get out and move their things roller-blading, walking or just checking each other out.
