Slow and scrumptious food

Though Zagreb is not a town of wide gastronomic variety, we're guessing you'll be quick to say "who cares?" after sampling some of the traditional cuisine. The reason for this, first and foremost, is the natural freshness of the ingredients. No artificial additives or preservatives are to be found in the fruits, vegetables and meats, making for a delectable meal of tasty wholesomeness. The traditional faire is a combination of all the best aspects of the entire region, a direct result of the county's conflicted territorial past (see History, p.??). The preferred eating style incorporates the almost ludicrous concept of slow food: we're talking about three hours to a meal here people, with each and every stage of your feast to be savoured to its absolute fullest, broken up only by pleasant conversation and general giggling, and completed with a dessert and coffee that will move your stomach into the explosive range. The Croats have mastered the art of the meal - take some time out to learn a thing or two from them about how a good meal should be.
