Casa de Carli
You’ll pay for it, but you’ll love every succulent bite of Casa de Carli. In the heart of Old Town, feast on burrata with cherry tomatoes followed by veal-stuffed ravioli and finished off with lava chocolate cake.

Cicala
The entrance is nondescript, but once down inside the cellar restaurant all doubts fade away. This place is good - especially the plates of steaming cozze (mussles).

Corleone
If you’re looking for good Italian and a lively atmosphere in Smíchov, then look no further than Corleone. Despite its theatrical name, it doesn’t indulge in much kitschy gangster stuff, just really tasty inexpensive pizzas and pastas.

Corte di Angelo
Classy little pizza place in the increasingly hip and happening Anděl, with imaginative salads, well prepared and flavoured pizza and pasta, and the usual Mediterranean mains of meat and fish.

Giovanni
The bits of exposed rock, the walls and vaulted ceiling of this cosy restaurant are a respectable faux medieval. Luckily, the stars, vines and other painted flora won’t distract you from the menu, which is so extensive that we gave up halfway through it.

La Finestra in Cucina
Looking into this kitchen window (which is a loose translation of the restaurant’s name) and you’ll see a rustic atmosphere and people enjoying some good cooking.

Le Cinque Corone
The sign above the door claims it is 100% Italian - although the name is French - and this darkened den does have the requisite extensive menu, but the prices are definitely touristy.

Magická zahrada
The Magic Garden is indeed a magical little place, offering a real slice of Little Italy, with our personal highlight being the super selection of (we counted no less than six) steaks.

Matylda Botel
Italian cuisine and an excellent wine list (390 - 1,200Kč) entice to this beautifully restored moored boat and then the view only adds to the experience.

Mirellie offers an extensive menu served in elegant surroundings. The interiors are smooth and classy; an excellent background for their good-sized wine list.

Osteria De Clara
A not-so-good location on the Vinohrady/Vršovice border is an unfortunate fact of this nice Italian eatery. Small menu of basic hearty meals; stuffed zucchini, rigatoni ragu, pork fillet.

Rusalka
A favourite with the crowds from the National Theatre around the corner, which is quite apt because they can watch people pretending to be other people on the stage and then come here and watch this place pretending to be an Italian restaurant.

VINOdiVINO
Part wine bar/restaurant, part wine shop but all Italian; you won’t go wrong with your wine choice here. The menu is small but carefully designed with the Fantasie di Mare for two and a bottle of wine an excellent way to spend an evening.
