Opposite the French embassy is the Lennon Wall. During the communist era it was here that revolutionaries daubed anti-government slogans thereby running the risk of arrest. Today the wall is covered with graffiti - poems and words of peace written by millions of visitors from around the world. Not really what it used to be; but people still visit.
