Irish House Party

  Merchant's Arch, Temple Bar, Dublin 2      (+353)(0)1 661 8410     more than a year ago
For anyone interested in a night of authentic Irish music and dancing, this is one party you really shouldn't miss. The evening is based on the house party tradition when families said farewell to Irish emigrants with an 'American wake'.

This modern-day renaissance brings together the best in traditional Irish entertainment, with many of the performers all-Ireland champions in their chosen field. A four course dinner, with a choice of delicious Irish dishes, kicks off proceedings. Then guests are given a songbook and taught a number in the Irish language, while rookie Riverdancers also get the chance to learn some Irish dancing steps. More reserved types, meanwhile, can simply sit back and enjoy the show.

A light-hearted introduction to Ireland's literary and musical legacy, and some great stories about the city and its characters, further enhance this unique mix of entertainment with a touch of education.

And when you finally return home, you can amaze friends and family with your local knowledge and hidden talents... what a great souvenir. Booking in advance is essential and children are welcome.
