Sillamäe

In the Soviet era, Sillamäe was a restricted, semi-secret town whose main business was mining and processing radioactive shale. Now the coastal town is a true curiousity, with its imposing, uniform Stalinist architecture and its central monument - a man boldly holding an atom aloft.
