Stag weekenders

While exploring Old Town’s night spots, don’t be surprised if you come across a few loud packs of young, English-speaking men, all dressed alike, staggering from pub to pub in an embarrassingly silly fashion. These are British stag weekenders - groups that come from the UK to help one of their mates celebrate his last days of freedom before getting married. Depending on your point of view, they’re either just a few lads out for a bit of fun, or an annoying flood of louts who have been duped by UK-based promoters into thinking that Tallinn is a hive of cheap beer and cheap women, and acting accordingly. It’s unclear as to how long Old Town will be inundated by blokes with shaved heads shouting ‘Oi!’, but the recent introduction of cheap London-Tallinn flights probably means that more stags are on the way.
