Restaurants & Cafés in Tallinn
Due to the current economic climate you may find that the occasional restaurant we have listed here has either closed its doors or reduced its hours of operation, but we've tried our best to have an accurate list by print time. Also be aware that in most cases you’ll have to seat yourself, so don’t wait around like a dummy - just grab an available seat and you’ll eventually be brought a menu. In pubs, you’ll likely need to order and pay at the bar. Service in the centre is nearly always English-speaking and foreign-language menus are the rule, although the words may not always be spelled correctly. VAT (20%) is always included and service should never be added to the bill.

This first-rate restaurant may have a great view, but we think the cuisine and top-notch service are even more spectacular.

True to its name, Grandma's Place treats its guests to a warm welcome and a cosy dining room filled with antiques. Take heart that there's no sign of the big, bad wolf here, though wild boar is occasionally on the menu.

This place is trying to cheat its customers by charging additional "20% VAT" on top of its listed prices. Estonia does have 20% VAT, but it's always customary (if not mandatory by law?) for it to be included in the advertised price. I'm not averse t[...]

Hmm. Well, it's probably fair to describe the food as 'heavy', but I'm not sure that's altogether inauthentic. Not the sort of place I would ever usually choose for a meal, but completely surprised me - fantastic attention to detail in the front o[...]
went to the new Boost juice in Rocca Al Mare shopping centre.awesome service, so different to typical estonian service level, and sensational smoothies. love the way they personalize their service by asking for customers first name :)[...]
The food was good, but the waiting staff and management were appalling. Wine ordered was out of stock and their recommendation was a bottle at double the price. One of the main courses served was completely different to what was ordered and the sala[...]
