Le Château

Le Château
Elaborately done up in the style of old France (think musketeers, etc), Le Château is of Tallinn's best-kept secrets. Essentially it's an elegant, candle-lit cellar full of heavy, wooden furniture and staff in 16th-century French garb. The real treat here though is the food - particularly the high-value lunch specials. If you come for dinner, be sure to try the soup, served in an enormous terrine.

Excellent food and service. Don't be dismayed - given the price you're paying - when your meal arrives and does exactly what it says on the tin, because they then serve you up plates of potatoes and other vegetables and bread, all of which will be topped up when running low.

I've been to Le Chateau a couple of times and on both occasions it was excellent. Courteous, attentive staff and splendid food. The interior of the restaurant is stunning. Medieval banquets back in Blighty will never be the same again, take it from me !! Well done and thanks to all the staff at Le Chateau for making my visits such a happy experience. PS...Don't join the euro !
