Linnahall

Built for the Olympics in 1980, this event centre and port is a perfect example of a much-criticised Soviet building practice - overuse of concrete. The hall can best be described as a cross between a parking garage and a somewhat flattened Mayan pyramid. Linnahall is easy to visit by foot since it’s so close to the centre. We suggest you hurry though, it’s crumbling rather fast.
