Tampere House, named for Tartu's sister city in Finland, operates some very cosy, home-style guest rooms for Finns and non-Finns alike. The Old Town dwelling is actually one of the oldest buildings in the city, and wooden beams give it an old-fashioned feel. Apartments come with their own kitchens, and there are two additional kitchen that the four other rooms share. Guests are also free to use a computer terminal in the corridor. The house is also a base for cultural exchange, so be prepared to get cultured.
