Karlova District and Manor

The Karlova district, just south of the town centre, is unique in Europe for its large number of early-20th-century Art Nouveau wooden houses. The distirct was once an estate governed from the beautiful 18th-century Karlova Manor House, which stands on the corner of Salme and Eha.
