Tiergarten

Tiergarten
This 255 hectare park full of paths, meadows, and waterways is the most genteel of Berlin's parks, but it's still a fine place for jogging, football, a picnic barbecue, or nude sunbathing (weather permitting). The Siegessäule (Victory Column) that stood in front of the Reichstag from 1873 until 1938 now serves as a roundabout and lookout point in the middle of the park. The park's café and beer garden, Café am Neuensee, is at the southwestern end.
